"Karamea Music Festival is located on the banks of the stunning Oparara Estuary, part of an almost seamless ecosystem reaching out from the heart of the Kahurangi National Park to the Tasman Sea. A result of a collaboration of communities creating a moment to partake in the ritual of stepping out of the everyday and into a space of heart felt intent. Take the journey, open your senses and experience with us one of New Zealand's best kept secrets."

Engaging Location - The site offers swimming, lush native forest, ancient trees and fauna, kayaking, surfing, walks on the beach, stunning night sky, fishing, captivating sunsets and scenery, native birds and wildlife, even crazy bugs and spiders you won't find anywhere else on the planet .
Community - Family friendly with dedicated kidzone and camping and a market space.
Connection - Not only created by a core crew but also the dedication of volunteers from the local community and beyond.
Diversity - of music, people, idea's and environment
